Pixi Beauty – Liquid Fairy Lights

PR Sample

Glitter, Glitter and more glitter! As a total addict to everything that sparkles and shines, i was quite hyped when i saw that Pixi Beauty came out with these liquid glimmer eyeshadows calledLiquid Fairy Lights (how cute is that?!).

They come in five different colors – Crystalline, SunRay, BareBrilliance, Rosegold and PassionLight. They’re supposed to be “long wearing and infused with chamomile and rose extracts to soothe and hydrate.” I did the following swatches in direct sunlight and without any editing. You can put them on with the applicator or with your fingers.

The lightest shade is Crystalline, which is basically a super cute diamond-like spark. I often use this color on my inner eye corner for that extra cuteness.

The color SunRay is the most unique out of the set. A gold-green, which i really like. I also didn’t have a similiar shade in my collection yet.

BareBrilliance is a more basic, brown glittery color. I can see that with a natural brown eyeshadow look.

The color RoseGold is a sheer rosegold shade. And as much as i love glitter on my eyes, i LOVE rosegold even more. I’m addicted, it’s not even funny anymore.

The last shade is PassionLight, a cute copper shade. You could use it for a night- or going-out look.

I also compared the color PassionLight with other brands / liquid eyeshadows, that are similiar in color.

Peripera – Sugar Twinkle Light in #2

Essence – Metal Shock Eyeshadow in 02 stars and stories

Stila – Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in Rosegold

All in all thePixi Liquid Fairy Lights perform quite good, at least if you’re looking for that cute glimmer or light spark on your lids or as a detail on your inner corner. I definitely sign that they’re “Long wearing, liquid glimmer eyeshadows” as the website describes them. For a more dramatic in-your-face-metal-eyeshadow look, i’d choose a product, that is not as sheer as these ones. BUT i can really feel that they’re infused with nice ingredients that are soothing and hydrating as they claim to be! I guess this is the reason why these products are a little bit more sheer than e.g. the Stila products.

The Pixi Fairy Lights are 15£ on their website, you can find them here.

or if you’re a german follower, take a look at Flaconi, where they’re available for 19,99 €.
